Looking at the news does not give you a clear understanding of the direction that the world is going in, as multiple sources of information either lie, are biased or will mislead the people seeking information, and the 'news'   changes on a second by second basis . Listening to conversations between people does not always give you a clear understanding of the direction that the world is going in, as multitudes of people have differing worldviews and opinions not rooted in the Holy Word . ...

Let's talk about wisdom overkill . Our world IS filled with too much information , and not all of it is true . Studying to get 'head knowledge' is not always a good thing if that knowledge is not put into practice or understood from a biblical perspective. Anybody can quote scripture . It takes far more to put it into practice than to sit down and 'talk' about the bible or 'smart things' in particular.
