Are You A Child Of God Or A Child Of This Fading Age?

Some children understand that light chases away the darkness, while others see it as a means to burn, pushing them into the darkness which they have already been accustomed to.

1st John 3:1/3

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

• "When He is revealed, we shall be like Him"... This is the hope of Maranatha, when Jesus is revealed at the end of the age to come and make all things new. This is what each and every living soul that is a child of God the Father hopes for beyond measure. We know that this world is not going to be around forever, and we know that the Light is going to finally extinguish the darkness of this age.

• Jesus once said that we are to be 'as little children' (Matthew 18:2/3), or 'we would not enter the Kingdom of God'. What He meant by this is that we are to be fully surrendered to Him. We are to be in awe of God and all that He is. We are to see Him as the Center and Foundation of Life, Creation, Goodness, Justice, Love and everything Right. If we cannot see this, then we may end up finding ourselves following a conformed idea, a vain imagination, a denomination, a system, all that seeks to bring others under its influence and pull them AWAY from the simplicity found in Christ Jesus (John 14:6, John 14:26, John 16:13).
