As The End Approaches, Do Not Let Your Love Grow Cold, But Let It Burn Hot For His Glory.

A lukewarm heart will not endure or persevere hardship. A heart refined in faith and love of the truth will not only endure, but will seek to love others out of coldness or even the lukewarm compromise.

1st Peter 4:7/10

But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

  • Our love will be tested at the end of the age. Many will truly see if we will be 'known for our love' for one another, or if we merely go by 'theology' or 'doctrine' or 'denomination' or some other system of thought or ideology. We will see if our actions speak the truth of the Word and our fellowship with Jesus, or if we merely 'played church' our entire lives. We will be tested to see if we 'counted the cost' of following Jesus, or if we merely 'added Him' into our lives as some 'addition' or 'mascot' for our own agendas.

  • The follower of Jesus will be tested to see if they will be able to forgive those even about to take their lives "thinking that they do God a service", and being able to say: "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing", or cursing them in our final moments. Our love will be tested on if we loved Jesus enough to follow Him with integrity and being genuine as His disciples, or if we merely followed an 'idea' of Him created in our own vain imaginations or followings of what man teaches (teaching the commandments of men... 2nd Corinthians 11:3/4).

  • As we witness the world become cold, heartless, unforgiving, compromising, lawless and degenerate beyond measure, the temptation will be to let love grow cold, embrace rage and violence and to 'take it into our own hands', the true follower of Jesus will have to choose a side (Revelation 13:10, 14:9/12), whether they join in with a world going mad, or whether they choose to follow the example of Jesus, even unto death (Revelation 2:10, 6:9/11, 12:11). Love will either be the example we follow, or a heart grown numb and lawless.

I pray that you choose love while there is still time.
