Hebrews 10:35-39
Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: “For yet a little while, and He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.
We are called to be faithful to Jesus, no matter the cost. It will be difficult for all of us, especially in regards to the end of the age. Even as the world is facing worse and worse challenges today, we are still called to follow Jesus faithfully in the midst of it. Many people are on the verge of leaving the faith or have already made that decision. This comes as a result of those who only follow Jesus as a 'means to an end' or for their own benefits. We are called to place our trust and faith in Jesus, not in emotion, but in trust beyond measure BECAUSE we know that He is faithful and has accomplished the perfect victory for us.
Let us not be offended at trial, tribulation or even persecution, but let us remain true to Jesus, even unto death. Whether this death comes from natural means, or from martyrdom (which I believe is not far off for the saints worldwide), we already know that Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life, the Meaning of life and the Purpose of it. He alone has our lives in His hands, and because He is the Author and Finisher of our faith, we can follow Him faithfully to the end, regardless of what it costs us.
