Dominion Of Death. Dominion Of Life.

Life and death are still witnesses against us to this day, and yet, we still sadly choose death.

Romans 6:12/14

Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

• If we are truly honest with ourselves on this side of eternity, we could easily say that each of us still chooses death over life. We still choose sin and delusion OVER life and truth. We have become too comfortable with that which God hates (Proverbs 6:16/19), instead of embracing what He loves (Micah 6:8). We defend the rot of this world, while criticizing the things of God. We have become too accustomed to the god of this age and his fancies, while being wearied of what God calls us to do for His glory.

• As long as we allow sin to reign in us (1st Peter 5:8/9), we have not truly embraced what Jesus has accomplished. Some of us might try to follow conformed religion to 'fit in' and 'feel saved', when we may be only further setting ourselves up for destruction because we choose to conform to man (2nd Corinthians 11:3/4), instead of trusting the Lord Jesus (John 14:26, 16:13).

Jesus defeated death. Let us walk in the newness of life, in the Dominion of Life that He has set us free within for the glory of the Father.
