God Is Good When We Are Broken And When We Are Whole.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

• God is not the Author of confusion. We can trust what He does, when He does it and why He does it. The issue lies in the fact that we listen to so many voices that tell us 'it should be like this and not this', when there are countless millions of testimonies throughout history of God being good to His people even in the midst of the most chaotic and beautiful scenarios. God has always been good, even when we are caught in seasons of something that appears or feels 'not so good'.

• Sometimes the most faithful reaction in heartbreaking moments is that of Job: "The Lord gives, and He takes away, yet He alone is worthy of praise." I can proclaim this even in my own life after experiencing divorce, being illegally kept from my only child, going through seasons of homelessness, placing trust in the wrong people and having them 'take me for a ride' in their own agendas and being betrayed and slandered even in ministry and church settings. God has ALWAYS been good both in the peaceful lessons, and the painful ones.

• If you have only trusted God when things are 'good', you will be sorely displeased when facing hard times and look at them through the lens of emotionalism and ego. My exhortation in this is that you look to the character of God throughout the scriptures and see His perfect Grand Design, and how ALL THINGS are used for HIS GOOD to bring Him glory, and to leave you in awe of Him.
