He Alone Is The Trustworthy Refuge.

Psalm 62:8

Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah (Selah means to reflect).

  • Do you trust God at His Word, according to His character, Holy Spirit and His Son? Multitudes trust in and follow a 'type' of Jesus according to tradition, or a founder of a denomination, or it may be through a favorite teacher. Some even believe in and follow a 'type' of Jesus according to conspiracy, hypocrisy, delusion and manipulation of His character and the Word. God never changes, though many think that He somehow 'does' (Isaiah 55:8/9, Hebrews 13:8, Malachi 3:6).

  • Has God ever failed? If we were really honest, we would be lying if we said 'yes'. This 'yes' would come from failure to understand the will, character, faithfulness and Grand Design of God overall. We know that God has never failed, because if He did, then existence itself would be gone. We would have no hope. Salvation in Christ Jesus alone would be a fantasy.

  • Pouring out your heart to God is true faith. It proclaims that you fully trust Him with everything because you understand that He knows everything before it even comes out of your mouth. Having a surrendered and obedient faith proclaims that you trust God, NO MATTER THE COST. You take the faithfulness of Jesus seriously. You look to the patriarchs, the apostles and the faithful martyrs of the past (and now) with the understanding that Jesus is worth everything, and the very meaning/purpose of life.

  • When you find yourself in the worst moments of life and happen to be a follower of Jesus, you can ALWAYS GO BACK to the fact that God has been, is still and will always be faithful and true. He truly is the STRONG TOWER that we find REFUGE in for life, and especially the end of the age (which we are racing to even now).

To those who see this, my hope and prayer is for the Lord our God to encourage you in your walk, to not ignore the signs of the times and to help others be ready to cling to Jesus as the world caves in. We cry Maranatha until He splits the skies!
