The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; the wellspring of wisdom is a flowing brook.

• Do you speak wise words? Better yet, do you speak wisdom from the Word of God? When we encourage others with the Word of God, all of us will be encouraged and edified. But when we lean on our own limited understanding, we can mislead ourselves and others. The unfortunate reality is that many speak 'in the name of God' today, while merely spewing out sewage from vain imagination or ideas from the god of this age.

  
  

• The true follower of Jesus is to speak and encourage others with HIS Word, and not merely your own experiences. Yes, there is a time and a place to give personal wisdom from our own experiences in how God has disciplined and helped you to grow, but if we do not point others to Jesus and the Word of God for true guidance, that person will have learned nothing of any true value. And if we condemn them? We will have used the name of God for our own arrogance, pride and hypocrisy.
