Living A Lie In The Name Of God.

Romans 1:18-21
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
All who do not know God, know that He exists. We can only know Him through Christ Jesus. If we attempt to find any other 'meaning' for life outside of Jesus, then we will be suppressing the truth in unrighteousness, and living a lie. Many continue to do this today through 'new age' nonsense, through multiple denominations all teaching an 'idea' of Jesus, through politics redefining Jesus to their own vain image and multiple other means.
But do you know who else suppresses the truth in unrighteousness? Those who live a lie 'in the name of God'. Whether they teach mixed things with parts of scripture and politics, new age Gnosticism and the bible, conspiracy and eschatology or some other method, multitudes of people either teach, promote or follow vain imaginations of man and think that they are following the Lord Jesus in doing so. The hard reality is that if we do not align with John 14:26, John 16:13 and take Jesus seriously in the marching orders of Matthew 28:18/20, then we are building our own kingdoms in His name, and following along with systems that tickle the ears of our own self-righteous desires (2nd Corinthians 11:3/4).
We are either living in the truth, defending it and making Him known, or we are living for our own agendas 'in His name', suppressing that truth in unrighteous gain.
