Proverbs 26:18/19
Like a madman who throws firebrands, arrows, and death, is the man who deceives his neighbor, and says, “I was only joking!”
Yesterday, the sitting president of the United States, Donald J. Trump posted am image on his social media Truth Social, a picture of himself being portrayed as a 'savior figure' which looked awfully close to presenting himself as Jesus. He has since then removed it, but not before defending his actions when being asked by reporters about it (claiming he is mocking the pope because he disagrees with the war in Iran). Multitudes of Christians are outraged (rightly so) while many who follow MAGA and profess to be Christians defend it with things like: "He is just trolling. RELAX!" and "But he is saving America" or "God has chosen him to fix everything".

I ask a very poignant and blunt set of questions:
To those who say "He is just trolling..."
I guess he was trolling also when he was molesting children?
I guess he was trolling when he told Iranians to "rise up" and "overtake" their government and that 'help is on the way', while tens of thousands of them died without any help?
I guess he was trolling when he said "go out and vote. You won't have to do it again"?
I guess he was trolling when he said "maybe we need a dictator"?
I guess he was trolling when he said "we deserve another term"?
I guess he was trolling when he said "no more wars"?
I guess he was trolling when he said "if the gas prices go up, then let them go up"?
I guess he was trolling when he said "I want my people to be like in South Korea, when he speaks, they rise up. I want the American people to do this"?
I guess he was trolling when he said "grab them by the pussy"?
I guess he was trolling when he was on the Howard Stern show bragging about how he "likes the looks of really young women"?
I guess he was trolling when he compared himself to Jesus as a 'king' on Easter just a few weeks ago?
I guess he is always trolling when he slanders reporters asking legitimate questions?
I guess he is trolling when he keeps saying 'peace and safety', when he says 'golden age', when he says 'we are saving God', when he says 'we are saving religion' (never describing which religion) while the economy is showing signs of complete collapse and giving multitudes of families fear of losing their homes, their jobs and their peace of mind?
As somebody who voted for Trump his first term, and have not voted since (and used to follow the QAnon delusion), and then watched his behavior closely for years, I firmly believe that Trump is a judgement upon America. We have been given the leader which reflects the heart of the nation as it currently stands (1st Samuel 8). I say this with sadness, as it looks like in 2026, multitudes have placed Trump in the place of Christ with their actions, while still denying it with their mouths. They place too much hope in this nation (which has become pagan beyond measure, a type of Babylon), instead of the coming King who will make all things new. People desire a continued reality of sin and depravity in comfort, VS the One who wipes away all tears (Revelation 21:4).
Thank God that many have begun to understand that the world is racing to the end of the age. The issue, unfortunately for America, is that pride has become our foundation. Not a pride in God, but a pride in self. A pride in politics. A pride in false comfort. A pride in a sense of 'freedom'. A pride in 'winning against our enemies'. A pride in 'MAGA'. A pride in depravity. A pride in false prosperity. A pride in pride.
In the coming days, many should be drawing closer to the Lord Jesus like never before. They should question where their faith and loyalty truly lies, and they should repent of all things that offend (this applies to all of us). If we find ourselves seeking to 'Make America Great Again', to 'build a prosperous future', to 'win against our enemies' or anything else that this current age offers you, then you will have sold your life for a lie and lived in it 'in the name of God'. The days are not far off when even people who worship Trump will begin having the mentality of: "we will kill those who deny him, thinking we do God a service."
Repent. Believe. Be faithful. Endure... the hour is late.
