Speech Carries Weight.

Matthew 12:36-37

“But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

- Do we 'taste' our words before spitting them out? We all fall short in this. The things that we say, whether in anger, or in general, show what is residing in the heart. If we do not have a new heart and a new mind, then our speech will most certainly show it.

- When we look closely at the landscape of today, multitudes of professing Christians speak many things which do not come from God, His Word or from Jesus, but their own imaginations or the things that they 'align' with. This is alarming, for many end up merely holding to a conformed 'idea' of Jesus created from vain imaginations.

- I encourage anyone who sees this to understand that if we profess to follow Jesus with our mouths, but our fruit (works) are rotten, festering and full of maggots, then we will ultimately have lived a lie 'in the name of God', and that is terrifying (Matthew 7:21/23, Revelation 22:14/15).
