The Children Of Light Walk In Christ Alone. The Children Of Darkness Walk In Delusion.

Ephesians 5:8

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.

• If we truly know Jesus, we will follow His example. We will obey His commandments (Matthew 22:37/39, Deuteronomy 6:5, 1st John 3:23). We will apply His Holy Word, and not merely obtain head knowledge. Light in this context from scripture refers to 'truth'. This truth is of the Holy Word of God, and is translated to us through the Holy Spirit (John 14:26, John 16:13). Jesus is that LIGHT manifested. When we refuse to trust the Holy Spirit, the god of this age will gladly lead us down 'rabbit holes' (2nd Corinthians 11:3/4).

• As we walk in the truth, our love and service for Jesus must be LIVING and ACTIVE every day, and not just on Sundays to 'keep appearances'. If we only walk in the light one day out of the week, we will not only be found as hypocrites (Revelation 21:8), but as living a lie 'in the name of God' (Matthew 7:21/23, Revelation 22:15).
