The Living Hope And Confidence.

When your everything is in Christ Jesus, it no longer needs to be in anything else.

Psalm 43:5

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God.

• How do you handle stress as a follower of Jesus? In the case of king David, we see throughout the book of Psalms that he tends to cry out to God, pour his heart and soul in praise to God and overall, has raw honesty before the throne of God. We could learn from this, for David brings his complaints to God, yes, but also his praise, his tears and his everything.

• Is your confidence in God? When we are fully surrendered to Him, we will place our full trust in Him above all measure. When we do this, our soul will no longer be ‘cast down’, but it will rest in His perfect will for our lives. When we do not lean upon our own understanding, our emotions, then we will listen more attentively to the Holy Spirit.

• We have a Living Hope as followers of Jesus, slowly yet surely understanding that Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our faith. Because He is the One who helps our faith to grow in a healthy manner, we can rest assured that the trials, the difficulties which we face are not to harm us, but to draw us closer to Him and to bring Him glory.
