The Murderer Named Pride.

1st John 3:13/15
Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you. We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
The world already hates the things of Christ Jesus. This is why much of it suppresses the truth in unrighteousness. The difficult part is when we have professing followers of Jesus who show disdain for their brethren, violent hatred towards Jews or simply treat those who do not think or act like them as 'heretics' or some other slanderous word. This is very rampart in the Western church today simply because pride is the root (2nd Corinthians 11:3/4) that keeps pulling people away from the simplicity of Christ Jesus (Matthew 22:36/40, Matthew 28:18/20, John 14:26, John 16:13).
Jesus Himself calls those who slander their brethren as 'murderers' and 'in danger of hellfire' because they place themselves in a position of being 'higher' and believe that 'head knowledge' somehow means 'status' in the Kingdom (Isaiah 5:21). The reality is, multitudes of men and women have head knowledge, but no relationship with Jesus, no relationship with their Creator. It ignores the commands of Matthew 22:36/40 and replaces it with arrogant pride rooted in vainglory. The ONLY way to overcome this, is humility and understanding that YOU KNOW NOTHING, and GOD KNOWS EVERYTHING (Isaiah 55:8/9, Psalm 50:21).
Hatred towards the brethren (even if they are wrong) is sin. You place yourself into a position as 'judge' over them, while ignoring any rot in your own soil. It places you into a position to condemn and mock, while ignoring the other fingers on your hand pointing back at your hypocrisy. If one continues in a hatred of Jew or Gentile, they are a murderer. If they refuse to be corrected by God, it will NOT end well.
