The Noise Of The World Is Real, But It Is Not As Loud As The Sovereignty Of God.

Proverbs 16:1
The preparations of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.
Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
Do you struggle with talking to God and dwelling upon His Word? In such a busy and chaotic world as right now, it seems impossible on some days. I know that in my own prayer time, I simply end up just pouring out everything to God with rawness. I believe that this is what the Lord desires of us when we come to Him... not simply 'asking for something', but talking to Him. Having conversation. Seeking His guidance and will for us, while praying for His will to be done for others, and ultimately His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
I believe that even when it comes to giving encouragement, advice or guidance to others, we should only seek to give what comes from the Lord and His Word, and not always 'from our own experiences', as sometimes what worked for us, may not work for somebody else in that moment. Sometimes, people simply need you to shut up and listen to what they have to say, whether you agree with it or not.
The Key needed in all of this is in His Holy Spirit. When we are in the Spirit, we will be faithful and obedient to Him in all things (John 14:26, John 15:4/5, John 16:13). We will begin to see the 'noise' of the world for what it is, look at it through a biblical lens, pray for others and simply talk to God, while being still and KNOWING that He is God, completely sovereign and will be faithful to keep His perfect promises to the very end... draw close to the Lord in these days, for the night is rapidly approaching.

Amen. Thank you for this sober reminder.
