The Proud Do Not Own Up To Their Sin.

1st John 1:8/10
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
Have you ever justified your sin? Multitudes of people who profess Jesus as Lord and Savior do this very thing, daily. When we look at the current political sphere in America, this is especially true when coming from those in the reformed crowd (preterists) and Christian Nationalists. People will justify rage, slander, hypocrisy, pride, arrogance and delusion 'in the name of God' simply because they think that God is "altogether like them". They have conformed God to their own vain imaginations, which will end with killing actual followers of Jesus "thinking that they do God a service". It is coming (Matthew 24:9/14).
To justify sin in the end is to not only call God a liar, but it is to identify yourself with the serpent, and ultimately the coming antichrist. When we look through the book of Revelation, we see this pattern in multiple places, where a judgement comes, and the people still "do not repent of XYZ sins". One would have to have a REALLY HARDENED heart to no longer feel any sort of conviction from sin, and then to justify it. Those who are already there, sadly, are worshiping the antichrist in their hearts.
I urge you, the reader; if you are a professing follower of Jesus and allowing yourself to be rooted in pride and arrogance, it will not end well for you (Isaiah 63:1/6, Revelation 19:11/21). Jesus is not going to return as some crusader to slaughter 'your enemies'. He is not going to come and 'make America great again'. He is not coming to 'do away with those Jews'. He is coming to rule and reign from the New Jerusalem, on the throne of David, in Israel. This current world of sin and depravity will be done away with forever. He Himself will 'wipe away all tears from their eyes', and multitudes of us will be more than willing to die for our faith, count the cost and follow Jesus (as He is... Hebrews 13:8) no matter what (Revelation 2:10, 6:9/11, 12:11, 13:10, 14:13).
If sin is continuing to be a practiced thing in your life, and you keep justifying it through the means of "His grace is greater, I can repent later" or "God wants me to be masculine and full of rage against my enemies", then you will have found yourself living a lie 'in the name of God' and hearing "I never knew you" because you PRACTICED lawlessness, and allowed your love to grow cold.
Repent. The night is already setting in.
