The Unwavering Faith Of Our Savior And Forefathers.

Romans 4:1-3

What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

  • Abraham believed that God would make nations through him. He believed what God told him that He would do through him for His glory. He did not doubt or waiver. He took God seriously at His Word. This same faith even goes into Abraham going to sacrifice his only son, knowing full well that God not only has the power to raise his son from the dead, but that God Himself provides the sacrifice (Genesis 22:13). We know that in the end, God DID provide that perfect and final sacrifice (John 3:16/21... His own Son).

  • We need to have such faith as Abraham, and more so, Jesus our Lord and Savior. Because of their faithful obedience, entire peoples have been preserved, refined and saved for the glory of God. Without their unwavering faith (including many saints prior to us), we would have no hope, no scriptures and no Good News.
