A Love Grown Cold Will Lead To Evil. A Love Rooted In The Truth Will Overcome Evil.

Romans 12:21

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

• If we are truly paying attention to the world today, we will notice that evil is attempting to overcome the good. We will notice the love of multitudes growing cold BECAUSE lawlessness is abounding. Even multitudes of professing believers are showing rife arrogance, pride, foolishness and degeneracy 'in the name of God', using the name of the Lord in vain.

• Jesus said that 'we would be known for our love' (Matthew 22:36/40) and living in the truth of that love (Matthew 28:18/20). If one professes to follow Jesus but does not have love, or common human decency for another person, then our profession could be called false. And if we embrace evil and justify it 'in the name of God', then surely we can be called anathema.

• As Christians, we are called to be Light, and to overcome the evil with the good. What is this 'good'? The truth of the Word of God. Proclaiming it to others, while also living it. If we find ourselves conformed to a 'system' or 'ideology' or 'rhetoric' or 'fitting in' or 'being in this crowd' or some other 'ism', then we will be living a lie 'in His name'... either our love is genuine and real in the truth, or it is nothing more than head knowledge which has no application to it. We either believe what we proclaim, or twist it to fit 'our' motives.
