Abide In The Righteous One; Flee From The Unrighteous One.

Luke 15:11/32
Luke 15:11/32

1st John 2:28/29

And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.

  • Why do you serve and follow Jesus? This question is one that every single follower of Jesus should ask themselves in 2026, because the hard reality is that so many follow Jesus for different sets of reasons that have nothing to do with John 3:16/21, Matthew 22:36/40 or Matthew 28:18/20, but fall into the line of 2nd Corinthians 11:3/4. People have been conditioned to follow Jesus as a 'means to an end' or as a 'life coach' instead of as Lord, Savior and King. Some do not come back as prodigal sons or daughters, but as following a vain imagination, or a conformed 'idea' of Jesus because it 'sounds nice'.

  • The true sign of being an authentic follower of Jesus is doing as He commands, repenting, taking His teachings seriously (applying them) and making Him known, no matter the cost (2nd Timothy 3:12). If we are merely 'going to church' or 'doing good things' without any relationship with our Savior or Creator, then we could end up finding ourselves saying "but Lord Lord?" and be told: "I never knew you..."

  • Jesus is the Meaning, Purpose and Integrity of Life. If we attempt to conform this so that it 'fits our needs', we will not be prodigal sons or daughters. We MUST know the Jesus that we follow (John 14:26, John 16:13, John 14:6), or we will end up coming to the reality of seeing that we followed something we were comfortable with 'in the name of God'.
