Are You Misleading Others 'In The Name Of God'?

And I will say to them... "I never knew you. Away from Me, you who practice lawlessness."

But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves."

2nd Timothy 4:3/4

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

Deuteronomy 18:20/22

'But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’ And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.

"presumes to speak a word in My name... that prophet shall die... you shall not be afraid of him..."

There are those who speak as the Holy Spirit leads them, and then there are those who speak as their vain imaginations, emotions, egos and ideologies not rooted in scripture, lead them. The issue is, there are far more people who speak today from vain imagination, conformed tradition, manipulative ideologies, ego, emotion, arrogance, depravity, delusion and feeling, all 'in the name of God'.

• You have people trying to convince you that 'MAGA is the way'.

• You have people trying to convince you that 'my religion is the way'.

• You have people trying to convince you that 'my doctrine is the right one'.

• You have people trying to convince you that 'my theology is the right theology'.

• You have people trying to convince you that 'we will be raptured out of here before any kind of trouble, and they will blame it on UFOs'.

• You have people trying to convince you that 'Revelation happened in 70AD, and everything is getting better'.

• You have people trying to convince you that 'God decrees sin because He is perfectly sovereign and He Himself creates and brings evil for His purposes'.

• You have people trying to convince you that 'God only believes XYZ things according to our religion and our system of thought'.

Multitudes of people are speaking so many different things not rooted in scripture, or maybe have a 'lil bit' of scripture in the middle of outright delusions and speculations and ideologies having nothing to do with reality or the Word of God, that it is no wonder so many people hold to so many different 'ideas' about Jesus, the Word, history, eschatology, the real world and the realities of sin, salvation, endurance of the saints and countless other topics that scripture itself is VERY CLEAR on (Isaiah 55:8/9).

The hard reality to accept is that MULTITUDES of people are either misleading others because of their pride and refusal to listen to the Holy Spirit or correction from brethren pointing them simply to the Word, or people who simply enjoy the lie that they live, and those that they mislead (Revelation 21:8, 22:14).

When I speak to those in the MAGA crowd, I get arrogance and pride, because they have settled for a 'now savior', a king Saul, an Absalom, ignoring the reality of the pride and lawlessness currently committed daily by what they proclaim as: "This is what I voted for". And anyone at all critical (even from republicans, conservatives and those who hold to biblical values), the response is: "F*** your feelings.", "MAGA 2028", "It is better than Kamala" or some other proud and arrogant response not rooted in reality or faith in Jesus (even though many profess to follow Jesus and worship Trump with their words and actions).

When I speak to those in the pretrib crowd (which I myself held to for 15 years because I was 'told' to), even if simply presenting scripture without any argument behind it, I get responses like: "You are lying", "You are being led by the devil", "You will be left behind", "God would not beat up His bride", "They will blame the rapture on UFOs (the new popular argument)", "The tribulation is only for the Jews", or some other response more than likely rooted in emotionalism, parroted talking points, pride, ignorance of scripture, knowing nothing about the bloody history of the church, the reality of martyrdom or the underground church or outright mixing conspiracy with eschatology.

When I speak with Christian Nationalists (who happen to usually be preterists, that believe everything in Revelation already happened in 70AD), they slander, mock, ridicule and sometimes even become violent in their language because they believe anybody who holds to historical premillennialism (which is what the apostles believed and taught, that Jesus will physically and literally return, save the Jewish people, ruling and reigning from Jerusalem) is automatically one who holds to 'pretrib'. They tend to hate anything having to do with the Jewish people or Israel (thanks to the teachings of Martin Luther, Calvin, Joel Webbon, Douglas Wilson, etc).

What all of these (and much more) have in common is that they fall into the category of: 'deceiving and being deceived'. They are all either deceiving others because they themselves have been deceived, or they are running on pride and arrogance in their views (vain imaginations, which is not the same as conviction from the Holy Spirit, who never misleads us... John 14:26, John 16:13), never receiving correction either from the Holy Spirit or well-meaning brethren (2nd Timothy 3:7). They are already falling away, either from the faith entirely, or into an 'idea' not rooted in truth or reality. A deception, delusion and degeneracy of the truth (2nd Timothy 3:1/9).

We are commanded to "test all things" because of the reality we find ourselves in on the year of 2026. We live in one of the most deceptive and delusional hours of history. Many are ignorant and do not know better, and the hope is that they awaken soon (Daniel 12:3). While many others are so arrogant in what they choose (yes, choose, no matter what.... cognitive dissonance) to believe, that they would even believe the blasphemies that will come forth from the mouth of the antichrist (Daniel 7:25, Revelation 13:5/6).

To every single saint in the Lord Jesus who reads this, I exhort and encourage you to not blindly believe everything because it 'sounds right' or 'has history behind it' or is 'the acceptable thing' because the 'experts' say that it is (2nd Corinthians 11:3/4). I urge you to consider the hour in which we live, sit ALONE with the Holy Spirit, STUDY the Word of God and PRAY at all times and for all things. Do not allow yourself to be deceived, otherwise you will be deceiving others 'in the name of God', and this is truly a dangerous place to be.
