Jesus Is The Lighthouse At The End Of The Age.

Updated: Feb 19

Jesus is our Lighthouse.

Let us break down Matthew 24 and go over the biggest warnings Jesus gave us regarding the end of the age... and I encourage anyone who reads this, whether you hold to

pretrib, post, prewrath or whichever side of the fence you land on, to read, study and pray on John 14:26, John 16:13 and 2nd Corinthians 11:3/4 before really reading the rest of this article.

Thank you.

Matthew 24:1/2

Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

  •  YES, the temple (at that time) was destroyed in 70AD. NO, it was not the end of the age. Nowhere in this does Jesus imply that the destruction of the temple was 'the key marker' for the end of the age. Preterism on either side of the fence is heresy.

Matthew 24:3/5

Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many."

  • Jesus starts off by warning the disciples: "TAKE HEED THAT NO ONE DECEIVES YOU".

  • Who can be a deceiver? It can be pastors, elders, speakers, talk show hosts, talking heads online, 'YouTube Prophets', those professing to have 'dreams and visions of the rapture', those literally professing to be Jesus or 'The Messiah', denominations holding to specific ideologies, entire religious systems of thought, your family and friends who have been misled for years, conspiracy theorists, random strangers who have no foundation or rooting in the scriptures or the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 24:6/8

And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows."

  • Wars are no longer rumors in 2026. Wars are raging in multiple parts of the world right now as we speak, with rumors of wars possibly even coming to the West, whether from within or from outside.

  • Some of the wars being raged are not merely militarily related, but in the economy, the tech world, households, banking systems, ideologies, religions, etc.

  • Jesus commanded that we 'not be troubled' by wars, or even by the deceivers who come beforehand. We SHOULD have discernment about these things, but not be worried, afraid or losing sleep wondering how it will 'all go down'. God is in control of the beginning and the end.

Matthew 24:9/14

Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."

  • Persecution is promised to the follower of Jesus at the end of the age according to scriptures like 2nd Timothy 3:12, Daniel 7:21/22, Revelation 2:10, Revelation 6:9/11, Revelation 13:1/10, Revelation 14:13, Revelation 16:4/7.

  • Many want you to deny suffering in glory for the Lord Jesus, while ignoring the history of the church in how many countless multitudes have been killed for their faith over the centuries, the current reality of the underground church and to call suffering for the Lord Jesus as 'unloving' or 'hateful' or 'not the character of God'... I ask you then, do you believe that the underground church and all saints killed for their faith throughout history would have the same response?

Matthew 24:15/20

Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath."

  • Study Daniel chapters 7-12 to understand what Jesus is referring to here. The abomination of desolation is not simply the antichrist, but what he will DO in the 3rd temple (which is in talks to be building right now in 2026).

  • Jesus speaks about people fleeing IN JUDEA... not America or some other country that usually believes 'this applies to me'. When all of this happens, it will begin IN THAT PART OF THE WORLD, and then it will spread to the rest of the world. How quickly? Only God knows. I personally believe that the world will be in distress up to this point in time.

  • Those who have families or newborns will face immense difficulty, and if 'The Day' happens on the Shabbat, this will prove difficult for multitudes of people worldwide because then they will not be able to keep it as they would like to.

Matthew 24:21/28

“For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together."

  • The Great Tribulation is recorded nowhere in history outside of the scriptures. Nothing in time past or present has even come close to what is described in this period of time which is supposed to last 7 full years, or, 2555 days. The argument is that the saints will either be taken out of here 7 years prior (which is disproven by the reality of the underground church and saints killed for their faith throughout history), being taken out of here before the wrath is poured out (I believe Revelation 16:15 disproves this, as we are not appointed to wrath), or being here until the end of the tribulation (which is my conviction according to Revelation 16:4-7,15).

  • 'Those days will be shortened' does NOT mean: "We leave 7 years prior" or "we leave in 3.5 years". [My conviction] I think that to assume either of these is to place a timeline on God to when 'we' deem it 'acceptable' for how long He would allow us to endure suffering for His glory (he who endures to the end shall be saved... he who overcomes is the one who does not take the mark of the beast). My argument to this is that if the underground church faces persecution and martyrdom up to this point in time... what makes us so special to escape it?

  • Deceivers in the church and world are bad enough right now, but they will become so bad, that people will be tired enough of the world and system to believe them. Even professing believers (refer back to Matthew 24:9/14).

  • Every single person who has professed a dream or vision from Jesus that 'He will return to take us home' or 'I had a dream that He will come to get us tomorrow or 'at this time'' is either a liar, a deceiver, ignorant, proclaiming a hopeful dream of their own as 'from the Lord' and unfortunately set up brothers and sisters to be offended at the Lord Jesus when He allows us to face persecution as has always been in church history.

  • The church will GROW during the tribulation, even in the midst of multitudes falling away to deception and offense. Many multitudes of people will come to know Jesus for the very first time as His Spirit is poured out upon so many as is happening right now in the underground churches of Iran (the fastest growing church for the past decade), China, Nigeria and other place. THEY ARE OUR EXAMPLE OF FAITHFULNESS TO THE END!

Matthew 24:29/31

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."

  • 'immediately AFTER the tribulation of THOSE DAYS' is very specific language that SO MANY IGNORE. I personally do not believe that the tribulation is only for 3.5 years. The tribulation is the entire time of chaos when the antichrist is carrying out his last stand against God on the earth before Jesus Himself comes to end it (Revelation 16:15). Our pretrib friends want us to believe that the rapture happens BEFORE this point in time even comes, when Jesus does not speak about it even remotely until v31.

  • This event 'after the tribulation of those days' will be seen, felt and heard by ALL PEOPLE ON EARTH BELIEVER AND UNBELIEVER ALIKE. This will not be some conspiracy faked by the elites, nor will it be Ai or UFOs or some other nonsensical thing people try to get you to look into. It will be something only God can do, and nobody will be able to deny what it is.

  • Our remaining Jewish friends will come to know their Mashiach for the first time and weep in doing so. ALL ISRAEL WILL BE SAVED at this point in time.

  • 'They will gather His elect from the four winds of heaven', I believe this lines up with Revelation 16:15 because of the language Jesus Himself uses. This is when I believe Jesus returns to end the end of the age, to save us all (including those who have not been martyred for our faith) and to turn Babylon 2.0 into an ash heap, with the enemies of the cross in mountains of bodies everywhere (He will destroy them with the brightness of His coming and the sword of His mouth).

Matthew 24:32/35

"Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away."

  • The parable of the fig tree is important to understand. One of the definitions for the word Summer in Hebrew is 'the end'. In other words, when we see 'these things', meaning before, during and coming to the end of the tribulation, this is when we are to 'look up' because our redemption is drawing close. We will not get a convenient escape like so many want you to believe in ignorance of the reality of the history of the church and the underground church today. We WILL face persecution and martyrdom, and this WILL offend many to the point of denying Jesus.

  • The words of Jesus are trustworthy and true. The testimonies of Jesus are the spirit of prophecy (Revelation 19:10).

Matthew 24:36/39

But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be."

  • Our pretrib friends are not having 'rapture dreams'. They are either leaning upon their own hopes (which is not sinful), or being deceived by demons as well as heretics. Pray for them daily especially in this hour. I held to pretrib for 15 years and was awoken out of it by the Holy Spirit Himself driving me through the scriptures outside of this 'taught' ideology, as one only believes it when it is taught by others and not by the Holy Spirit. I had one of these 'dreams' once during the Obama administration, and the Holy Spirit convicted me out of this ideology.

  • The Days Of Noah is a reference to people 'doing life as usual' until the floods come and carry them away. This is why it should be so alarming when we try to warn people, but they are placing their hopes in a 'golden age' or 'peace and safety' or 'Ai will be the future'... they have no idea what is coming!

  • Jesus will not come as a thief to the believer. He will be a thief to the one who is NOT looking for His return, or is so rooted in this world that they have no care for Jesus, truth, salvation or eternity.

Matthew 24:40/44

"Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."

  • Our pretrib friends want you to believe that 'taken' means 'left behind'. Consider how unchristlike and antichrist this ideology is. God takes His 'favorite people' and abandons everyone else to suffer. This is 100% what our pretrib friends have been taught to believe from a mixture of heretics and the Left Behind book series (which I read when I was a pretribber).

  • 'Taken' is a reference primarily to our Jewish friends when this all goes down in Judea, Israel, etc. This does NOT refer to the entire world (though in due time it will come). Taken refers to those who will be captured, killed, raped, imprisoned and tortured. The others are those who will ESCAPE... not in a rapture, but into the wilderness (Revelation 12:13/17).

  • Jesus will return at the last moment when all hope seems lost. This is another reason why, yet again, I believe He returns at Revelation 16:15. The language makes sense!

  • Do not be so absorbed by this world and age that you lose focus of watching and praying for the return of Jesus. This is what Jesus meant when He spoke about 'being the strongman who watches his house'.

Matthew 24:45/51

“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

  • This is the MOST CRITICAL PART of the entire chapter... Jesus is telling us to PAY ATTENTION very clearly here and to not lose focus of what He is saying. He is commanding that we WATCH AND PRAY so we are not CAUGHT OFF GUARD by His return, as the rest of the world will be in a state of mind in drunken stupor of comfort and convenience.

  • To sum it up, if we believe that "He will never return in my lifetime", this leads into "let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!" and "where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers have fallen asleep, all things continue as they were." In other words, do not be naïve to think that Jesus could not return in the next 7-10 years or sooner. Do not make plans for your life in a span of 10-20-30-50 years out and think that 'everything is good'. This is foolish thinking... (Luke 12:13/21).

Christian, the world is racing to the end. The world also wants you to believe that it can 'make things better' with technology, a golden age, false peace and safety as well as other things which do not fix the issue of sin, and only want to continue on towards Babylon PT2.

Get your house in order. Draw close to the Lord Jesus. Tell your friends and families about Jesus. Make Jesus known to all people. Do not be afraid of what is coming, because it will be the worst time in human history. Do not be so naïve to think that it 'could never come in my lifetime'.

The world is raging. The love of many HAS grown cold. False peace and safety is being pushed. All things are racing to the end... be busy for Jesus now and keep crying MARANATHA until He splits the skies.
