The Secret Of His Counsel.

Without the fear of the Lord, one merely has vain imagination or is captivated by the world.

Psalm 25:14

The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant.

• The word ‘secret’ here translates to ‘counsel’ or ‘intimacy’ with God. To put it quite honestly, when we fear God, when we understand who He is and what He is capable of, this is when true relationship and communion comes. All of this is through His Son, Christ Jesus. If we seek to find this in a system, a religion, a dogma, a theology or some other ‘thing’ that has the chance of being conformed or manipulated through the vain imaginations of man, it will no longer be the simplicity of Christ Jesus, but from the standpoint of 2nd Corinthians 11:3/4.

• The word ‘covenant’ in this scripture translates to quite a few things in particular, some of them being… alliance, a pledge, a treaty, an agreement, a divine ordinance. So when one has covenant with God, this is no simple thing. If one comes to know Jesus, repents and believes, we then enter into COVENANT with GOD HIMSELF. When we FEAR HIM, we begin to understand wisdom from above (Proverbs 3:5/6).

• If you are seeking to have guidance and clarity in making a decision in this walk, then it would be wise to seek the Counsel of God before anything or anyone else. While this is no easy task in such a busy, demanding world, when we learn to ‘pray in the Spirit’, this does not always require getting down on our knees and making a show of something religious, but seeking the Lord in the ‘inner man’ and asking for His will to be shown for each step, and then having the faith to trust in His answer each and every time, as He is not the Author of confusion, but the very One who is the Author, Perfecter and Finisher of our faith for His glory.
